eace & Luv were the theme of Sunday’s same sex weddings on Worth Street in Manhattan. Everyone was smiling. In all the humidity and heat the crowds assembled and walked on the lines patiently. I guess another hour or two wasn’t so bad after waiting a lifetime for this dream to become a reality. Some religious organizations were present marrying couples after they received their licenses and we only saw one lone protestor. All in all with a tear in everyone’s eyes, love in their hearts, and smiles on their faces, the state of New York finally has complied with these words, “we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
