Here Comes The Bride: The Importance of Aisle Decor

When most little girls dream of their wedding day, oftentimes the image that comes to mind is walking down the aisle. This is the place where couples typically see each other for the first time. All the guests stroll down it prior to the event to get to their seats. And post ceremony, the steps on this aisle are the first as a married couple. Kind of a big deal! Yet when it comes to the actual day, most aisles have little more than a few ribbons attached to the pews or chairs. Even if you’re going for a minimalistic look, don’t let the aisle be, well, boring.

Check out these stunning aisle arrangements out to compliment a fabulous aisle entrance and exit.

Now this is what we call an entrance! These calla lilies are elegant, but wouldn’t distract from the bridal party or the bride. Perfect for an outdoor occasion.

And don’t overestimate simplicity. These peonies attached to one of your theme colored ribbons add a beautiful touch to an otherwise ordinary chair.

This couple also used flowers in potted plants on the ground, but also incorporated mason jars to add accents to the row seats.Screen Shot 2014-07-15 at 1.41.12 PMScreen Shot 2014-07-15 at 1.41.00 PM

And speaking of using jars, we love the following looks. Potted plants add charm to any bridal runway.

Candles are another way to dazzle the main walkway. Not sure about having a lighted candle so close to your wedding gown? Not a problem. Use beautiful lanterns that aren’t lit. They still look exquisite. (See last image)
