Best Fall Harvest Party Sangria
October is upon us and with it, the delicious aroma of spices, pumpkin everything, leaves crunching and of course, fall fest parties. More than any other season, autumn is bursting with different flavors unique to the preparation months leading up until winter. While we love pumpkin and have seen quite a few amazing pumpkin flavored treats at weddings and other fall fêtes, we believe no party is complete without a good fall sangria. We recommend this amazingly simple recipe to wow your guests—it will be a guarantee hit at your next fall harvest gathering.
First, collect all the delectable ingredients. For this recipe, you’ll need the following in stock:
- 1 bottle chilled dry white wine
- 1 bottle chilled champagne
- 3 oz. Damiana liqueur (herbal liqueur with citrus and vanilla flavors)
- 2 freshly sliced pears
- 2 apples (sliced and cored)
- 20 whole cloves
- 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
Now that you have those in your kitchen, find your largest pitcher, add the pears, cloves and nutmeg. Then slowly pour in the Damiana liqueur and stir. Next, add the wine and stir gently. This should be refrigerated overnight.
Then it’s party time! When you’re ready to serve your beverage, pull out the pitcher, pour in your champagne and stir it slowly into the mixture. Serve in an ice-filled wineglass.
And voilà! There you have the perfect fall party sangria that should be served at every festivity all season long.
